Bitcoin has reclaimed its position as the fifth-largest global asset by market capitalization, surpassing Amazon with a $2.36 trillion valuation. The cryptocurrency hit a record high of $118,869 on Friday, sparking bullish predictions of $135K by year-end.
Deribit options data reveals concentrated bets at $115K-$120K strike prices for July, with September and December contracts eyeing $140K-$150K. The rally liquidated $1.1 billion in short positions, highlighting growing institutional demand.
To overtake Apple's market cap, Bitcoin would need to reach $160K. Analysts suggest BTC could eventually challenge gold's $22.56 trillion dominance as adoption continues to accelerate.
